A ISMA 5 é a conferência anual do International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) que reúne especialistas da indústria, praticantes das técnicas e empresas de tecnologia os quais, durante dois dias, trocam experiências e apresentações sobre o estado-da-arte na área de Métricas de Software. Neste ano, pela primeira vez esta conferência será realizada no Brasil. O foco da conferência incluirá o relato de casos reais de implantação de processos e soluções relacionados ao tema, aplicações da Análise de Pontos de Função (APF), estimativas de software, estudo e estabelecimento da produtividade, precificação de contratos e utilização de modelos de referência. O evento contará com a presença de palestrantes internacionais e do Board mundial do IFPUG. Além da conferência, o IFPUG oferece ainda uma variedade de oportunidades de treinamento projetados para complementar as práticas de gerenciamento de software. Os workshops cobrem uma gama de tópicos incluindo práticas de contagem em Pontos de Função, técnicas de gerenciamento de projetos e estratégias de melhoria de processos. Os workshops acontecem imediatamente antes da conferência. .
	Pela primeira vez na América Latina o evento em 2010 contará com três auditórios, espaço para exposição, keynote speakers internacionais além de painéis de altíssimo nível técnico e workshop.
