General Practice Dental Residency Program Director

Winthrop University Hospital, a major academic medical and research center located in Mineola, Long Island, NY, is seeking a dynamic, experienced General Practice Residency Program Director to assume overall management of a newly accredited GPR training program. As a senior member of the department, responsibilities will include: directing the program to assure an outstanding academic experience for residents, assuring compliance with all CODA standards, designing, teaching and supervising the clinical and didactic activities of the residents, supervising voluntary faculty, and providing inpatient and outpatient dental services to our patients.

Requirements

DDS/DMD degree

Licensed or able to obtain licensure in New York State

Completion of an accredited GPR program

3-6 years experience currently as a director or associate director of a hospital-based GPR program

Significant work experience in a hospital-based, community-focused dental program

Demonstrated record of teaching and scholarship

Strong communications, management and organizational skills

Highly motivated and compassionate about teaching and dental practice
